Frequent Inspection and Lubrication for Crawler Cranes
Frequent Inspection, daily to monthly intervals inspection; one to twelve-month intervals, or as specifically recommended by the manufacturer. It’s very important to frequently inspect the lubrication for all the crawler crane parts.
Lubrication is the single most important factor in maintaining a machine. The stresses and operating conditions a machine must endure requiring that regular and complete lubricating practices be started the first-day operation. However, it is a false economy if cheap grease and oil are used in place of high-quality lubricants. Using cheap lubricants will result in a shorter life for components and thus cost more in the long run.
The lubricating information in this section is a guide for machine maintenance under normal operating conditions. Very dusty or dirty conditions will affect lubricating frequencies. It is best for each operator to take into consideration his operating conditions and develop a maintenance schedule that suits his particular requirements. Minor deviations from this guide are permissible if consistent with good lubrication practices.
Please do attention to inspect and lubricate the connecting pin for the lattice boom, the connecting pin for crane track shoes, bearings for the pulley group, upper rollers, bottom track rollers, and so on.
