The bottom of crawler track maintenance can not be ignored
The life of crawler track often depends on reasonability of tightness and adjustment degree.
So, the deflection of upper crawler should be always checking.
The method of inspection is:
First, sweep the crawler tracks clean, put a wooden wedge on the top after driving wheel
Then. to make the crawler start walking, and squeeze the wooden wedge, so that the lower end of the crawler (close to ground) is tensed. The upper crawler will have deflection.
The deflection normally is 8-15mm if you use a ruler to measure it.
The tensioning device of crawler is composed of oil cylinder, tensioning beam and tensioning spring.
The tensioning method is to use a high pressure oil gun to inject calcium based grease into cylinder from the nozzle, push the pistion, and then push the driving wheel to mobe through the tensioning beam to achieve track tensioning.
When relaxation is required, slowly rotate the oil filling valve counterclockwise to loosen it and the greese will be discharged from the drain.
Note: if the left and right side of the track droop is different. the track will run off when walking.
