How To Transport Crawler Crane Safely
The transportation of crawler crane is a great test for the technicians of the equipment. The whole equipment needs to be disassembled, loaded and transported, and reassembled after arriving at the construction site. Each step needs to be careful.
Before transportation, the crawler crane shall be driven into the site for inspection in strict accordance with the construction process. After passing the inspection, the route to be transported shall be prepared to ensure that the route is smooth and feasible and the distance is the shortest. Then check whether the destination site meets the requirements of road leveling, no hidden danger of collapse and no obstacles. Then we can prepare to transport our crawler crane.
For crawler crane transportation, the equipment needs to be disassembled into several parts first, and then transported separately. First disassemble the hook, and then dismantle the boom and other weights section by section. The pins and reimbursement pieces are respectively collected into the centralized box and hoisted onto the transport scooter by truck.
After the movable board slope is erected, the main engine of the crawler crane logs in the scooter from the tail and runs slowly and in a straight line. At the same time, observe the distance between the two tracks with eyes on the left and right. When the crawler crane is half logged in, the operator should keep the overall balance of the crawler crane equipment to avoid rollover.
After the crawler crane transport vehicle arrives at the site, the main engine will drive down from the transport vehicle in a positive direction. At the same time, there must be a special person around to command to ensure that the two crawlers run evenly on the movable plate. The hook, counterweight block, main boom, etc. are unloaded with a special crane. Pay attention to the installation sequence, and the whole transportation process is completed.
