Two 2000T Crawler Cranes Double Main Crane Lifting!

On Jun. 17, CNCC completed the most difficult joint-removal task of the 1.5 million-ton-a-year catalytic cracking (DCC) unit system retrofit project in Yuneng Chemical Co., Ltd., namely the removal of reactor heads and 12 sets of suspended cyclones, it has laid a solid foundation for the successful completion of the DCC technical reform.
The suspended reactor head and its 12 sets of cyclone weight of 628 tons, lifting height of 87m. Two 2000-ton crawler cranes were used to carry out the dismantling operation.
1st, two 2000-ton crawler cranes lift the bottom of the rotating unit out of the reactor shell by 0.5 m, then rotate counterclockwise to stagger the reactor head from the equipment;
2nd, the two machines step back at the same time to remove the head from the reactor frame;
3rd, the reactor head, and the cyclone system are then lowered to 1 meter above the temporary pre-installed frame. The two machines work together through the lifting command. One 2000T crawler crane keeps the station in counter-clockwise rotation. The other 2000T crawler crane rotates step by step and in the same direction.
During the hoisting period, the overall levelness of the equipment and the speed of the lifting hooks of the two machines were adjusted several times. After a construction period of up to 4 hours, the old reactor head and the cyclone group were completely removed and dropped to the temporary frame on the west side, successfully completed the lifting construction of the joint task.
