How to maintain the crawler crane?

Jan 27,2022

The crawler crane is a complex and delicate equipment, and the maintenance of its parts is very important. Today, I will introduce the dry goods about the maintenance of key parts and equipment of crawler cranes for the reference of users in the hoisting industry.

Inspection of hooks and hook groups

During the use of the hook group, the most prone to damage is the wear of the hook mouth and the breakage of the pulley. The wear of the hook mouth is a normal phenomenon. When the crawler is hoisted, the hook will automatically adjust the center, which will further aggravate the wear of the hook mouth; the damage of the pulley is mainly caused by the collision. Pay attention to whether there are cracks in the thread at the tail of the hook and the hollow slot of the rod. The force is concentrated here, cracks are more likely to occur, and they are not easy to be found.

wire rope inspection

Generally speaking, steel wire ropes are subjected to complex forces and are affected by various forms of forces including tensile stress and extrusion stress. In addition, the wire rope will generate a large alternating stress through the pulley, and the wire rope will be worn for a long time. When the wear reaches a certain level, it will break. Therefore, in the process of inspecting the wire rope, pay attention to the contact area between the wire rope and the pulley and the sliding condition between the two, so as to reduce the wear of the wire rope as much as possible.

Reminder: Details determine success or failure. An accident may occur because of a small negligence in normal equipment maintenance. Therefore, all hoisting users, usually must pay attention to the maintenance of the key parts of the equipment, so that they can be replaced in time to maintain the integrity of the equipment.
