Common sense of crawler crane

The crawler crane consists of a traveling mechanism, a slewing mechanism, a fuselage and a boom.

(1) Features: Flexible operation and easy to use, the boom can be lengthened in sections, the body can be rotated 3600 degrees, it can walk with load on a flat and solid road, and it can be used as an excavator or a pile driver after changing the working device. A multifunctional, mobile hoisting machine.
The disadvantage of crawler cranes is that the walking speed is slow, which is destructive to the road surface, and the long-distance transfer needs to be transported by a flatbed trailer;
⑵ main technical parameters
Lifting weight Q——the weight of the object to be lifted, excluding the weight of the hook and pulley block;
Lifting height H——the vertical distance from the center of the lifting hook to the stop surface;
Rotation radius R——the horizontal distance from the rotation center to the hook.
The relationship between the three parameters: when the boom length is constant, with the increase of the elevation angle, the lifting weight and the lifting height increase, while the lifting radius decreases; when the boom elevation angle is constant, with the boom length Increase, the lifting radius and lifting height increase, while the lifting weight decreases.
(3) Selection of hoisting machinery
Generally, look up the performance table or performance curve of the lifting equipment according to the weight of the component and the installation height.
⑷ Safety regulations for crawler cranes
① The minimum safety distance between the center of the lifting hook and the fixed pulley at the top of the boom is generally 2.5-3.5m;
② The maximum allowable slope of the ground when the crane is working should not exceed 3 degrees;
③ The maximum elevation angle of the boom should generally not exceed 78 degrees;
④ It is not suitable for the crane to carry out lifting and rotating operations at the same time, and it is also not suitable to change the amplitude of the boom while lifting;
⑤ If the crane needs to travel with a load, the load shall not exceed 70% of the allowable lifting capacity;
⑥ When the crane works on soft soil, sleepers or roadbed boxes should be used to pad the road;
⑦ When the crane is hoisting with overload or extending the boom, the stability check shall be carried out. If the check calculation is not satisfied, measures such as increasing the balance weight and setting temporary cables and wind ropes can be considered to strengthen the stability of the crane.
