1. Crawler cranes have an impact on the stability of the ship, and improper operation can cause the risk of ship capsizing. The crawler crane is placed on the deck cargo ship, the crawler crane weighs hundreds to thousands of tons, and in the case of hoisting cargo operations, the position of the ship's center of gravity and the initial stability height are reduced, as well as the impact on the overturning force arm, due to the severe climate change at sea, there are often heavy storms and even typhoons, the ship sway is aggravated, if there is no proper adjustment of the hoisting load of the crawler crane or the hoisting operation under conditions that do not meet the operating conditions, it will cause the risk of ship capping.
2. Affects the strength of the ship's deck structure.
The crawler crane is fixed on the deck, and the cargo hoisting operation is carried out at the same time, which will affect the local strength of the deck, and in severe cases, it will cause the risk of cracking at the deck of the pressure surface, which in turn will affect the overall ship deck structure strength and endanger ship safety.

According to the conventional performance requirements provided by the crawler crane manufacturer, the lifting operation should be carried out under the condition of ensuring the ground level. Because the characteristics of offshore operations are different from those on land, offshore operations are greatly affected by wind and waves, and ships are affected by wind and waves at every moment at sea, it is difficult to ensure that crawler cranes are hoisted on calm deck cargo ships, and at the same time, the tilt of the hull causes the performance of cranes to decline. Relying only on the simple arrangement and reinforcement of the crawler crane, once the deck tilt angle exceeds the critical angle, the crawler crane has the risk of slipping on the deck cargo ship, or even falling into the sea.
4. The influence of marine environmental factors on the normal use of crawler crane equipment.
The structure of the crawler crane is special, the components are mostly pin shaft connections, and they are in a swinging state for a long time when working on the ship, if the state of the connecting pins in various parts is not often checked, it is easy to cause the connecting pins to fall off and accidents occur. In addition, the crawler crane has no marine product certificate, due to the high salinity of seawater, the air humidity is large, the marine climate environment on the crane structure and electrical corrosion is more serious, the crawler crane structure corrosion, the electric box, the joint is aggravated by moisture, if the track crane maintenance is not in place, it is easy to affect the normal use of the crawler crane equipment function, serious will produce production accidents.
