Why Demag CC1800 Track Shoes Differ in Size and Design

Jun 20,2025

Customers who purchase track shoes for Demag CC1800 may notice that even though they are all suitable for CC1800 crawler cranes, their specifications—such as length, thickness, hole spacing, and overall structure—can vary. This is common in the crane parts industry and is usually caused by several practical reasons.

First, the Demag CC1800 has been in production for many years and has gone through multiple design updates. The undercarriage structure of different production batches or regional models may vary slightly. As a result, even original track plates may differ depending on the year of manufacture or crane variant.

Second, customization plays a major role. End users across different markets often request changes based on job site conditions. For example, thicker or longer track pads may be required to improve ground pressure distribution on soft or unstable surfaces. In response to such needs, we have developed custom 1200mm track shoes. Other customers may require specific hole spacing to match upgraded or reinforced crawler chains. These customized features directly impact the final dimensions of the part.

Adding to this complexity, it’s possible for the same crane model to come originally equipped with two types of crawler shoes, depending on its lifting configuration or regional setup.

To avoid fitment issues, we strongly recommend that customers confirm all critical dimensions or provide a sample or technical drawing before placing orders. Our team specializes in producing both standard and custom-made track plates for the Demag CC1800 to ensure proper compatibility and long-term performance.

Delivering precise, job-specific undercarriage parts has become essential in the crane service industry. Our flexible manufacturing solutions help minimize downtime and ensure that every CC1800 track shoe or track pad we supply meets the exact working requirements of each project.
