Internal Structure and Composition of Crawler Crane
Crawler crane is a crane which is equipped with walking device, lifting device, lugging device and turning device on the walking crawler chassis. Crawler crane has an independent energy, compact structure, relatively small size, good mobility, can meet the requirements of crane mobility, more suitable for the needs of construction, can be ready to work the time arrive at the work site.
The components of Crawler Crane:
1 Fetching Device
The fetching device of crawler crane is mainly hook (grab bucket, electromagnetic chuck, etc., as auxiliary device).
2 crane jib
A steel structure used to support a hoisting wire rope or pulley block, which can be pitched to change the working radius. It is mounted directly on the upper rotary platform. The boom can be lengthened on the basis of the basic boom according to the construction needs. If necessary, a boom can also be installed at the top of the main boom to expand the working range. This boom is called the secondary boom.
3. Slewing part
It is the part that can be slewed during lifting operation, including all the mechanisms and devices installed on the slew platform except jib, counterweight, hook and so on.
4 Walking part
It is the lower walking part of the crawler crane, is the chassis of the crawler crane, but also is the basis of the slew part. It is mainly composed of track shoes, idlers, sprockets, track rollers, top rollers, walking motor, walking reducer, tensioning device, telescopic cylinder etc.
5 Slewing bearing part
It is installed on the chassis to support the higher slewing part, including all rotary, rolling and stationary parts of the slewing bearing device and the frame used to fix the slewing bearing device (excluding four-turn pinion).
6 weight
The counterweight is iron block with a certain shape installed at the tail of the slewing platform of the crane to ensure that the crane work stably. If necessary, these pieces of iron can be unloaded and moved separately.
7 Power plant
The power plant is the power source. On crawler cranes, most of the power plants are four-stroke diesel engines. On the crawler crane, it transforms the mechanical energy of the internal combustion engine into hydraulic energy through the hydraulic oil pump, and the hydraulic energy is transmitted to the hydraulic motor and hydraulic cylinder through the hydraulic tubing and various control valves. The hydraulic motor and hydraulic cylinder then convert the hydraulic energy into mechanical energy to drive the working mechanism.
8 Mechanical transmission part
It transfers the power of the internal combustion engine to the hydraulic oil pump, and then turns the hydraulic energy of the hydraulic motor and hydraulic cylinder into mechanical energy to drive the working institutions.The mechanical transmission part is mainly composed of transfer box, reduction box, clutch, drum, shaft, bearing, pulley and so on.
9 Hydraulic transmission part
It is mainly composed of hydraulic pump, hydraulic motor, hydraulic cylinder, control valve, hydraulic tubing, hydraulic tank and so on. The hydraulic oil pump transforms the mechanical energy of the internal combustion engine into hydraulic energy, and the hydraulic motor transforms the hydraulic energy into mechanical energy to drive each working mechanism. Hydraulic transmission is widely used in crawler cranes because of its convenient speed regulation, smooth transmission, light operation, small size, light weight, speed limit, self-locking function and reasonable overall arrangement.
10 Control device
The control device is used to manipulate and control each working mechanism of crawler crane, so that each mechanism can start, speed regulation, reversing and stop according to the requirements, so as to realize various actions of the crane operation. The control device is mainly composed of joystick, control valve, button, switch, controller etc
